We are all hearing more about Green and Solar these days. One NBA star has made the decision to do more than just think about it and shares with RealGreenWorld why he goes solar. This video has been set since September 2011 so when Shawn’s Trek racing bike was stolen we felt it would be fun use that sad event as an ending to this weeks video. Thankfully this story ended with Shawn getting his bike back. I think the obvious question is who could ride that thing besides Shawn. Check out this weeks video to see how he got it back again. Why Did Shawn Bradley Install Solar?

The main reason is that it finally made sense. With the new intensives and the prices on Photovoltaics dropping through 2011 Shawn realized now was the time to take advantage and install solar on his home in Utah. “It did not make sense when I built the home 3 years ago but things have changed and after meeting Adam from SolarTek I knew it was time to move forward on something I had always wanted to do.”

How Well Has His Solar System Worked?

Shawn was very animated when he was asked this question! “I love the monotoring, in fact I look at it every day!” He is happy to see how much money it is saving him and how much it is helping to protect the environment.

Shawn was clear to point out that if this did not make sense for both the environment and the pocket book he was not going to move ahead with it. These days solar works as a financial investment and this is one that the Bradley family felt made sense for both the ECOnomy and the ECOsystem.

As we talked about his experience he pointed out that he has friends and family members that do not have the same resources at their disposal. After learning about Shawn’s system and looking into it for themselves they have found that Solar made sense for them also.
